Friedrich Friz Paintings & Drawings – April 15-June 13, 2012

Born in 1900 in Germany, Friedrich Friz was sent to a forced labor camp by the Third Reich, which did not approve of his kind of “degenerate” painting. After the war he supported himself and his family as a house- and furniture-painter, pursuing his art only in his spare time. The paintings and drawings in our next exhibition are among those distributed to his family after his death in 1983.

Don’t miss this powerful exhibition of German Impressionism, beginning April 15 at Glen House Art.

And plan on joining us at 6pm on Thursday, June 7, for a reception and a talk by Dr. Adelheid M. Gealt, Director, Indiana University Art Museum.
